17 Shine on Lipstick in 'Sweet Sizzle' Review
When I first swatched this on my hand I was in love. It came out lovely, a nice pink with a hint of sparkle.
After getting it home and excitedly trying it on I was super-disappointed.
Outer-wise, the packaging is plain and simple and it doesn't feel cheapy-cheapy. Taking the lid off and twisting up the lipstick however, causes a squeaky noise.
The formular is fine and it glides on smooth and really easily and it feels nice, so what's the issue?
Well.. on the lips it is actually very-very metallic when in direct sunlight outside it looks like I have Edward Cullen on my lips.
You can tell it's a bad when it looks like you have a sparkling Vampire sitting on your lips.
The pictures I took aren't very good because the lighting kept messing up and our camera isn't great . It's a shame because it looks so much nicer on camera than it does in real life but i'll provide pictures anyway.
I have no idea why my teeth look odd, they are not twisted like that really, it was just an odd angle o.0
See there on the bottom lip?
In person all you can see is metallic shinyness.
This is how most of the pictures turned out, if it looked how it does on my top lip in real life on the top and bottom lip then I would love it.
I would never re-buy from the Shine on range, I will however try out other 17 lip products from their other ranges.
What do you think?
Have you had a positive or negative experience with this line?
Thank you for reading, this review was badly written, sorry!
Maxfactor False lash effect Mascara review - Black
Okay, so this Mascara is meant to give your eyelashes a 'False lash' effect whilst keeping it natural. From looking at the packaging and reading I assumed it would add length and some thickness to my lashes.
The Packaging is okay, it is nice and simple, with simple fonts and a simple colour scheme, it doesn't shout out 'BUY ME NOW!' It isn't terrible and it doesn't feel cheap.
The price isn't too bad at £10.99, maybe a little bit expensive if you are on a drugstore brand budget. I know you can get £2 mascaras but they don't do much and you get a lot less product. This mascara has 13.1ml of product which is a good amount.. I would expect to get a good amount for the price. My Nanna wanted to get me a Chanel one but I said in the mean time I want to try this one out.
Here is my nude eye so you can see the difference after:
The wand brush applicator is quiet thick and has little plastic spikes:
When I first bought the product the formula was good and not clumpy at all but I find now I have had it for 3-4 months it has started to clump a little bit, but only just.
Here is what 1 coat looks like on my eye:
Bad lighting
It holds the curls and holds my lashes super well, I didn't use an eyelash curler, it adds length but not so much thickness. By the end of the day my lashes normally pretty much look the same which is a bonus. I like the way it does the bottom lashes but I wouldn't really say this Mascara is life changing. I don't really like the way it makes my top lashes look head on.
I wouldn't re-buy this product straight away, just because there are many other mascaras I want to try one being the Majolica one another being the Fairy Drops one with a bear on. I'll also try a Chanel one since my Nanna has her heart set on getting me one. Also I would probably try Covergirl's Lash Blast before rebuying this since it seems to be the same product except i think the Covergirl one gives more volume rather than more length.
I'd say if you wanted a normal price readily available Mascara this is a nice every day one it may not be a massive 'WOW!' but it is a nice everyday one.
Have you tried out this Mascara, what did you think of it?
Also, tell me what your favorite mascara is and I'll check it out!

Jergens Natural Daily Moisturising : Body moisturiser with Acai Berry Review
I really needed a moisturiser.
There were lots to choose from at good prices and many with nicer packaging but I went with Jergens.
Why?
I took time to read the information on the bottle and thought I'd give it a go.
It says that:
''Jergens uses 97% natural ingredients, the other 3% is to keep the formula together. It replenishes nutrients and visibly moisturises the sin. It is formulated with natures superfoods; Acai Berries, Cranberries and Mangosteen extracts to feed and nourish the skin. It is meant to apply smoothly and last all day.''
It also says that is is animal cruelty free, which whilst i'm not a huge ''SAVE THE ANIMALS'' I do think animal testing is highly wrong so it's good to see the hearts behind the product.
You get a fair amount at 200ml, you don't need much at a time so I can see this lasting awhile, it comes out quiet thick and a little bit off-white:
I just expected it 'to do the job' but seriously, after using it I am very eager to get all of the kinds by this brand available!
It does absorb very quickly, and leaves no stickiness. I find sometimes a sticky feeling is left behind with this kind of cream which is never nice especially when you are hot! It leaves my skin super-super soft and causes no irritation. My skin is quiet sensitive to soaps and moisturisers to find one that doesn't irritate me is fantastic!
My Mum says is has a really nice slight fragrance that will please sensitive noses and noses that like a scent a like. I personally can hardly smell a thing due to sinus problems but my mum has a very-very sensitive nose and she says it is a slight and pleasant fruity fragrance.
Overall I would definitely buy this product again, I'm rushing out to get all the other types this brand does. This is just a general one but a lot cover specific problems which will be useful to try.
I'd especially buy something now, Boots and Sainsbury's are both doing half price on these products, bargain!!

Bourjois 3d Lip Effect Swatches + Review ~ 04 and 46
It says on the packaging that Bourjois 3D lip Effect:
''Lasts 8 hours, is hydrating and moisturizing and is meant to give volume and shine.''
When I first saw this product in Boots, I feel in love with the packaging and colorfulness and bought 04, Rose Polemic, without even swatching it - I just knew I'd love it.
A lot of the time when someone says this they are proves wrong, when putting it on it does make my lips plumper, shiny and it does give some moisture. Even though it does give moisture I wouldn't really recommend it on dry or cracked lips as it doesn't look very nice!
When my £2 off voucher for another one was valid I jumped at the chance to get another, I felt like getting something more red-ish without being in your face and garish so I decided to pick up 46 - Rose Lyric, a pinkish red.
Let's have a closer look, shall we?
First off: here are some hand swatches so you can get an idea of how they look on my hand:
04 is more of a light candy pink where as 46 is a medium-dark red-ish pink.
The applicator is a little brush which is really useful and easy to use, it glides on very easily and is easy to clean up if you get an inconsistent application.
When it first goes on it does feel a little sticky but after 5 minutes it dries and I sometimes forget I even have it on! Boy, does it stay there. I can tell because when I drink from a glass most of the time none stays on the glass which is a big thumbs up for me. I wouldn't really say it lasts 8 hours, more 3-4 but that is still pretty good and a lot better than a lot of lip glosses that I have tried!
Here is what 04 looks like on my lips (please excuse the messy application, I was in a big rush)
It is glittery/shimmery without being over the top, that is something I worry about with lip colour. You either get all colour and no glitter or too much shimmer and glitter so you can't see the colour well X).
Here is 46, again messy application:
Something I was a bit worried about with this one is that the red tones might come out a bit strong. Nope! I was a little disappointed at first that on my lips it isn't as red as I had in mind and my lips play up the pink tones more than the red. It is still an amazing lip gloss nevertheless and is one of my favorites!
To top it off when you mix both of them together you get a really nice in-between colour, I can't wait to get some more to try out! Also it smells divine! It's a bit more artificial than the Bourjois Blush's but it is a really nice sweet Rose scent and it's not overpowering or sickly at all, score!
Bourjois Lip glosses come in quiet a few colours, it's not just limited to pinks but I'd say most of the colours are Pinks.
I would defiantly re-buy these in all colours even if they are a little bit more expensive than the avarage lip gloss.
I bought mine in Boots but you could probably get them in Superdrug too, for international people, I'm not sure sorry but if I ever do a swap I'll be including one of these ;)
Thanks for reading xx

Watsons Blotting Sheets Review
What the product claims:
''Facial Absorbent Paper, double efficiency
- Can remove unwanted oil, preserve skin moisture, avoid acne and skin irritation
- Glossy on both sides
- Pat and press on T-zone
- Use during the day, before and after makeup. Feel refreshed at any time.''
When I first used a blotting sheet I found randomly in my room I gave it a try and was instantly amazed, I just knew I had to get some.
After searching around I decided Watsons would be the best choice for me, cute packaging, bright colours and the listing I bought it from offered 3 packs which meant I would get 300 which is a great amount and ensures you won;t run out too quickly.
There are 5 colours available that I got sent at random but elsewhere you might be able to pick, the colours available are: Purple, Pink, Green, Yellow and Blue.
I got sent Blue, Green and Yellow.
The blotting sheets are very silky and not scratchy and very easy to use on your face, I found that patting doesn't always work the best and sometimes I have to do a little rub.
The packet says to use both sides, but personally I don't like doing this. It means you have to hold the side with grease and oil on - not nice.
You can defiantly tell they work though, after using them you can see the oil and grease on the sheet and after using a few it leaves my face feeling cleaner.
The box has a little white tab you peel off which has a stick which is meant to pull one up each time you use it which is helpful but sometimes I'm worried it might rip the sheet but at least they made it an optional use.
Another helpful thing is the boxes aren't massive and are super easy to slip easily into a bag or even a bigger purse! So if you ever worry that your face has become oily whilst you're out you no longer need to worry! I'm quiet sure you'd be able to discreetly use one in public, it's just like using a tissue but for your face, no?
Overall verdict: I would defiantly buy these blotting sheets again, they are cheap and easy to use and I can see them lasting a long time.
I bought this product over at Evilbay, Ebay.
